Nylabone Non-Edible
We have had several styles of these. We have tried the following....
Double Action Chew....
These have lasted a long time, but the dogs don't really love them. They will chew the ends some, but like other nylabones better.
Flexible Chew....
We bought a couple of these when we first adopted Sydney. They are ok, but definitely not designed for even moderately aggressive chewers.
Durable Chew...
We have tried the regular bone looking versions and the wishbone versions in a variety of flavors. The dogs like both, but slightly prefer the wishbone.
Big Chews....
We have tried the Knot and the Dino Bone (AKA Galileo). The dogs liked the Galileo bone best of these two. Actually, they liked the Galileo bone best of any of the nylabones. The Knot is really hard and the dogs like it ok, but will pass it up when another bone is available.
The biggest thing to watch for with any of these bones is that your dog isn't breaking off pieces of the bone. Pieces can get caught in the dog's digestive system. This may cause death or require surgery. Luckily our dogs usually don't break off pieces, but when they do the bone and the piece is immediately thrown away. The Big Chew series are big bones and are generally very hard for the dog to bite pieces off of. Try these if your dog is an aggressive chewer.
